Online education and edtech opportunities in China: A focus on the adult learning sector

This new report from Austrade focuses on opportunities in China’s adult online learner market, offering an in-depth understanding of the sector’s landscape and providing insight and advice to Australian edtech companies and institutions intending to enter the market.
In a survey by iMedia Research, over two-thirds of respondents who had used or are using online education services in China have been categorised as “adult learners” aged 26 years or above. This demographic was identified as being the largest group of Chinese edtech consumers.
To better enable Australian edtech companies and institutions to capitalise on market opportunities in this subsector, Austrade has produced this landmark report which was launched by the Minister of Trade, Tourism and Investment Senator The Hon. Simon Birmingham in Shanghai in November 2018.
