Investigators have been told a man entered a restaurant on Princes Highway about 8.30pm on Wednesday 18 December.

The man threatened staff with a large knife and made demands for cash before fleeing empty handed.

No one was physically injured from the incident.

Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, and was wearing a black Ripcurl cap and a red sports jersey with white writing.
