Officers from Caroline Springs nabbed a high range drink driver in Melton West last night.
Police were patrolling Barries Road about 9.30pm when they observed a car in front of them driving erratically.
The driver lost control of the vehicle which left the road and went over a number of gutters before coming to rest in a car park.
Members spoke to the driver, a 28-year-old woman from Melton West, who then underwent a preliminary breath test.
She then attended the local station for an evidentiary test where she returned an alleged reading of 0.316%.
Her licence was immediately suspended and she is expected to be summonsed for drink driving related offences.
She was also found to be in breach of the directions issued by the Chief Health Officer and was issued a $1652 penalty notice.
The directions by the Chief Health Officer, under the State of Emergency declared in Victoria, have been enacted to help stop the spread of Coronavirus.
