A learner driver is expected to face court following a collision in Dandenong on Thursday morning.
Members from the Dandenong Frontline Tactical Unit and Greater Dandenong Highway Patrol were targeting hoon drivers in Dandenong South when they came across a collision about 12.45am.
It is believed a white Holden Commodore wagon was allegedly conducting a burnout along the Dandenong Bypass when it collided with the rear of a white Mazda sedan.
As a result, the passenger of the Holden Commodore and the driver of the Mazda were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Checks revealed that the driver of the Holden Commodore, a 23-year-old Cranbourne man, was a learner driver and the vehicle was unregistered at the time.
He is expected to be charged on summons with numerous traffic offences including being a learner driver unaccompanied, careless driving and failing to have proper control of a motor vehicle.
