Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Paton Reiri.

A warrant has been issued for the 27-year-old’s arrest for bail offences.

He is known to frequent the Portland, Hamilton, Penhurst and Casterton areas.

Investigators have released an image of Reiri in the hope someone may have information on his current whereabouts.

He is known to frequent the Bendigo and Kangaroo Flat areas.

Missing teen Bailey Schwind

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing teenager Bailey Schwind.

The 16-year-old was last seen at his Emerald home about 8pm on 13 August.

Police have concerns for Bailey’s welfare due to his age, a medical condition, and the length of time he has been missing.

Bailey is 173cm tall, with a thin build, and light brown hair.

He is known to frequent the Ringwood and Monbulk areas.

Police have released an image of Bailey in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information regarding his current whereabouts.

Woman arrested and several people fined in Operation Kokomo

Police have arrested a woman for allegedly operating an illegal brothel at a residence in St Albans.

Officers from the Public Order Response Team and Sex Industry Coordination Unit attended two addresses in Mintaro Way, Seabrook and Alfrieda Street, St Albans about 7.25pm last night.

The warrants were executed as part of Operation Kokomo, an ongoing investigation into alleged contraventions of the Sex Work Act at the St Albans premises which has been running since July.

A 44-year-old woman was arrested at the Seabrook address, she was interviewed and released pending further enquiries.

Police located several people at the St Albans premises including two women who were both issued a formal warning and several males.

Three of the men in attendance, a 32-year-old Thornhill man, a 26-year-old Delahey man and a 50-year-old Keilor Downs man were all found to be in breach of the directions of the Chief Health Officer.

They each received a fine of $1652.

The investigation remains ongoing and investigators are asking anyone who has information or suspects they know of an illegal brothel to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au

Replacement for stolen scooter at Para Hills

Police are investigating the callous theft of a mobility scooter from Para Hills, but are pleased the victim has been given a replacement scooter.

The victim, 78, is a Vietnam veteran who lost his legs in a military incident in the service of our country and is heavily reliant on a mobility scooter for his independence.

Between 3pm on Wednesday 12 August and 8am Thursday 13 August, his red Pide electric mobility scooter was stolen from his open carport at Para Hills.

Police visited the victim yesterday to follow up on the theft and, on finding out more details about his situation, contacted Jesse Bird Welfare Centre at Salisbury who arranged for an immediate replacement.

The brand new mobility scooter was delivered this morning and police were delighted to be invited to witness the significant delivery.

Liquor seized – Victoria Daly

Northern Territory Police have seized a large quantity of liquor from an alcohol protected area.

At around 9:30am this morning, police apprehended and searched a vehicle destined for Wadeye, locating 24 x 1 litre bottles of rum.

Senior Sergeant Bradley Fox said, “The seizures are a result of information being provided by community members, in turn, this has reduced harm to vulnerable people.”

Over the past week, police members from Daly River, Peppimenarti and Wadeye have continued to intercept alcohol destined for remote communities. 

As a result, police have seized a total of 155 litres of liquor from multiple vehicles.

Police are appealing for public help to find James Swift.

A warrant has been issued for the 40-year-old, for breaching a court issued order.

He is known to frequent the Bendigo, Ascot and White Hills areas.

Investigators have released an image of Swift in the hope someone may have information on his current whereabouts.

Swift is Caucasian in appearance, about 170cm tall, with a medium build and brown hair.

Clandestine Lab located in Glen Iris

Detectives from the Clandestine Laboratory Squad have charged a man after they located a clandestine laboratory in Glen Iris this morning.

A warrant was executed at the property on Edgar Street shortly before 7am.

Police located a clandestine laboratory along with chemicals and equipment used for manufacturing illicit drugs.

The 39 year-old Glen Iris man has been charged with;

• Possess articles for manufacturing;

• Traffick (manufacture) DMT;

• Traffick (manufacture) GHB;

• Traffick (manufacture) GLB;

• Traffic cannabis; and

• Possess precursor chemicals

He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Arrest at vehicle checkpoint in Cranbourne

A man has been arrested and another fined after they were allegedly located with a weapon, drugs and stolen goods at a vehicle checkpoint in Cranbourne overnight.

Police and PSOs working as part of Operation Sentinel stopped a rideshare vehicle travelling through a vehicle checkpoint on Frankston-Cranbourne Road about 11.30pm on 13 August.

An observant PSO noticed one of the two rear passengers was allegedly carrying a knife in his pocket.

A search was conducted and it’s alleged officers then located drugs as well as a number of items believed to be stolen.

One passenger, a 29-year-old Corio man, was issued an infringement notice for possessing a controlled weapon.

The second passenger, a 31-year-old Warragul man, was arrested and charged with multiple offences including possess drug of dependence, possess proceeds of crime and committing offences whilst on bail.

He was remanded to appear before the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court today.

Whilst committing the offences, the men were also found to be in breach of the directions of the Chief Health Officer and were each issued penalty notices.

The directions by the Chief Health Officer, under the State of Emergency declared in Victoria, have been enacted to help stop the spread of Coronavirus.

Search continues for missing teen Ryan Smith

Police are continuing their appeal for public assistance to help locate missing teenager Ryan (Hughes) Smith.

The 14-year-old was last seen in Ararat and is believed to have travelled by train to Melbourne on Sunday, 12 July.

Police have concerns for Ryan’s welfare due to his age and the length of time he has been missing.

Ryan is 160cm tall, slim build, with blue eyes and light brown hair.

He is known to frequent a number of areas including the Melbourne CBD, Werribee, Hoppers Crossing, Melton, Mount Waverley, Chadstone and Box Hill.

Police have released an image of Ryan in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information regarding his current whereabouts.
